We would like to take the opportunity to thank so many special people for assisting with the recycling efforts at Nebraskaland Days. This was a community effort and wouldn’t have been possible if it weren't for the hard working individuals who helped make it a success.Throughout 7 events, there were 138 volunteers who collected 4,436 pounds of aluminum and an additional ton of plastics and cardboard.
Cans For Critters, Bandits Softball, and Trailblazers Baseball teams put in countless hours and earned in combination over $3,000 to benefit their groups. Budke’s Powersports, Kohler Trailer Sales and Bill Summers Ford all donated equipment to make transporting and storage of the recyclables possible.
And of course, thanks to the Nebraskaland Days staff and board of directors for their support and encouragement.
This is the largest recycling event in the State of Nebraska and North Platte should be proud that we can accomplish this in our community.
