North Platte Community College Diesel Technology Instructors Kent Beel and Steve Kramer look on Friday as a transmission tester is loaded onto a trailer at Inland Truck Parts & Service.

Inland donated the transmission tester, which will be used for testing Eaton/Fuller manual transmissions, as well as an engine washer to the college, for use in its Diesel Technology department.

The engine washer can clean large engine blocks, parts and transmission cases.

Inland will officially open its new truck parts and repair shop Monday north of the I-80 and Newberry Road interchange.
