Jeremiah Bloxton of North Platte allegedly held his girlfriend captive and beat her Friday night, according to a North Platte police report.

The incident was the first of two similar assaults during the weekend.

A woman in the 400 block of south Cottonwood told police that Bloxton, 20, beat her off and on for two and a half hours in her apartment. The door was locked and Bloxton would not let her leave, she said.

Police caught up with Bloxton the next day at another house and arrested him for assault and false imprisonment. He has been charged before with assaulting the woman so this time it is a felony, the police said.

Bloxton has a history of petty crimes with a thread of violence, including terroristic threats and burglary. He was jailed for 120 days last fall for the burglary of Tailspin Pet Groomers, and ordered to pay $1,107 in restitution.

Prior to that, he was arrested in February, March, April, May and June of 2012 on a variety of charges, including terroristic threats, assault, illegal use of a firearm and theft, according to sheriff’s records.

On Saturday, a woman went to the police station and said she had been threatened, hit and kept in her home in the 800 block of West E.

Police said the woman blamed her live-in boyfriend Nathan Snider, 22.

Police arrested Snider at the couple’s home and charged him with third-degree domestic assault. He has already been convicted twice of assaulting the same woman, so this time it is a felony. He is also charged with false imprisonment, according to a police report.

His bond is set at $25,000.
