The Lincoln County Historical Museum will host its fifth annual Anvil Shoot at 2 p.m. on July 4.

The annual North Platte fireworks display in North Platte is postponed until July 12 at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds, organizer Dave Thelen said Thursday. The municipal band will perform and a watermelon feed will be held at the same time. Festivities begin at 8 p.m.

The Municipal Band will also perform July 5 at 8 p.m. at Cody Park.

Thelen said the fire marshal has not licensed the Optimists' fireworks display until July 12.
