Saturday, June 29

• Scout’s Rest Ranch – Tenth annual Gift of Hope Fundraiser. Prime rib dinner with drinks auctions. 5-10 p.m. Tickets: $25.

• A to Z Books - 7-10:30 p.m. Open Mic Nite. Established performers and newcomers. Free-will donation. Refreshments provided or bring your own.

• Eagles Club (620 N. Chestnut) – Twelfth Eagles No. 2839 banquet and Calcutta. Prime rib or shrimp meals available at 7 p.m. Calcutta and auction to follow.

• Rail Bar - Live music by James Burke, CD release party. With Nicole Hardy 8:30 p.m.- midnight. $3 cover.


Sunday, June 30

• Hershey Softball Fields – Hershey fireworks. Potluck at 7 p.m. Red wagon parade at 8 p.m. Fireworks at dusk. Refreshments provided or bring your own. Free event.


Wednesday, July 3

• Pop Corner (1847 W. A) – Live piano and song by Shermie. 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

• VFW Post 1504 (2100 E. Fourth) – bingo, total of 24 games, starts at 6:45 p.m.

• Sutherland Legion Hall - Live music by Rascal and the Pack. Featuring Nightlife & Tod Kornruff. 7 p.m.-midnight. $5 person, $8 couple. Bar, food available.

• Senior Center (901 East 10th) - Dance to Ray Mullen. 7-9:30 p.m. $4. Please bring finger food.

• Longhorn Bar Sutherland – Live music by Night Drivers. Beer garden with food. Street Dance at 9 p.m. Cover charge for dance.


Thursday, July 4

• Maranatha Camp – July 4th celebration from 2-11 p.m. including open waterfront, BBQ and sweetshop. Fireworks show at 10 p.m. $8 per person; $40 per family.

• Sutherland High School Commons – Pie and ice cream social. Second annual perfect pie contest. Bring one pie to serve and one to judge. 3-5 p.m. Free will offering.

• Sculley’s Shooters (2221 E. Fourth) – adult dance lessons. 7-8 p.m. $5 per person.

• Ft. Cody Trading Post (I-80 & US 83) - Live music by CeCe Otto and Seth Fornander. 6-9 p.m. $5, kids under 12 free. (This Thursday music series continues until early August. Season pass $20 at Kittle's Music.)

• Longhorn Bar Sutherland – Live music by Innocent Mischief. Beer garden with food. Street Dance at 9 p.m. Cover charge for dance.


Friday, July 5

• Sutherland Oregon Trail Golf Course – American Songline Concert. 7-8 p.m. Concert celebrating the centennial of the Lincoln Highway. No charge.

• Cody Park North Platte - Municipal band performs concert. 8 p.m. No charge.


Saturday, July 6

• Memorial Park – Victory Church presents Gospel Fest 2013 with special guests The Final Goodbye and the Jay Stone Singers. Games, food and give aways. 2-6 p.m. Free event.

• Lincoln County Raceway (Fairgrounds, W. Rodeo Rd) - IMCA - Modified - Stock Car - Hobby Stock & Sport, Mod Sport Compact – Demo Derby. Gates open 5 p.m. Races start at 7 p.m. Admission $10, veterans $5 with ID.

• VFW (120 W. Fourth) – Live music by The Sundowners. 7-10:30 p.m.


Wednesday, July 10

• Lincoln County Fairgrounds - Independence celebration with fireworks display, watermelon feed and live music by the North Platte municipal band. 8 p.m. No charge.


Saturday, July 13

• Lake Maloney (main boat ramp area) – Carp-o-Rama family fishing camp teaching how to catch, clean and cook carp. Event includes a fish lunch and instruction on fish printing art. 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Free event. Nebraska Park Entry Permit and Nebraska Fishing Permit required.

• Lincoln County Raceway (Fairgrounds, W. Rodeo Rd) - IMCA - Modified - Stock Car - Hobby Stock & Sport, Mod Sport Compact – special lightning sprints. Gates open 5 p.m. Races start at 7 p.m. Admission $10.
