Buses set to run for Nebraskaland Days concertsTell North Platte what you think

North Platte's public transit buses will run to and from the Wild West Arena Friday, when super-star Kid Rock will perform.

City buses will pick up people Friday at three motels near I-80 -- the Holiday Inn, the Quality Inn, the Hampton Inn. -- beginning at 5:30 p.m. Also, a bus will run to and from the other side of town -- the parking area west of the Public Transit bus barn, 1520 N. Jeffers, also starting at 5:30 p.m.

City buses will run every 25 minutes. After the Kid Rock concert, passengers will be dropped off at the same locations.

There is a fee of $1.50 per ride on the city buses.

U.S. Cellular

U.S. Cellular is offering free bus rides to its customers on both Friday and Saturday nights.

It will pick up customers at the Mall, between Dollar General and Staples, beginning at 5 p.m. Friday. Customers must show their U.S. Cellular device or have a voucher from a store to get on the bus.

U.S. Cellular buses will bring people back until midnight.

Vouchers are available at the store at 418 E. Leota St. or Huskerland Communications, 116 N. Jeffers St.

Kid Rock with Lee Brice and Thomas Rhett will perform Friday night at 8 p.m.

Halestorm and the Sick Puppies take the stage Saturday, also at 8 p.m.

U.S. Cellular is also a major contributor to the Nebraskaland Days celebration.
