In the first game North Platte jumped out to an early lead on Lexington and captured a 12-2 victory.

The Express scored seven runs in the first three innings to put the game away early.

In the first inning, a wild pitch and an error followed by an RBI single by Sadie Vargas fueled North Platte's offense. Then, a passed ball, an RBI single by Kaite Franzen, and another error in the second inning kept North Platte rolling. Defensively, North Platte catcher Mikenzi Wiseman gunned down two Lexington base-runners, preventing any kind of Lexington rally.

Reanna Crane racked up two RBIs on one hit for North Platte. Shayla Kummer recorded the win for North Platte. She allowed one run over two innings, striking out two, walking one and giving up one hit.

Gothenburg

In game two, Kaite Franzen was strong at the plate and in the circle, carrying North Platte to a 12-2 victory over Gothenburg.

Franzen went a perfect 3-3 at the plate for North Platte. She singled in the first, second, and third innings.

Gothenburg's lineup had no answer for Franzen pitching, managing just one hit. Franzen allowed an earned run, walked one and struck out five during her four innings of work.

Mikenzi Wiseman had another solid performance behind the plate picking off would-be Gothenburg runners to solidify the win by "run-rule."

Eleven runs in the opening three innings allowed North Platte to easily put away the win. A two-run error, a ground-out by Sally Hengen, and an RBI single by Sadie Vargas during the first inning and a wild pitch and a two-run error in the second inning helped North Platte put some runs on the board early.
