• North Platte High School performing arts center - Miss Nebraska scholarship pageant continues, 7 p.m.

• Sculley’s Shooters (2221 E. Fourth) – adult dance lessons. 7-8 p.m. $5 per person.


Friday, June 7

• Downtown - meet the Miss Nebraska candidates, share crafts, have fun. 1:30-3:30 p.m. Parade at 4:30 p.m.

• Hanging H Ranch (40813 West Highway 30, between Paxton and Sutherland) - Cattlemen’s Ball opens with Trail Boss reception, 5-7 p.m. Live auction at 7 p.m. Ranch rodeo 8-9:30 p.m. Dance to “Shur Thing” 9:30 p.m.-midnight.

• Quality Inn and Suites - Fashions, purses with Miss Nebraska candidates, 6:30 p.m.

• Lincoln County Historical Museum - North Platte municipal band in concert. 8 p.m. No charge. Heritage festival continues Saturday & Sunday. (see NBLand Days schedule)


Saturday, June 8

• Public Library (120 W. Fourth) – Author Barbara Mohrman and artist Wava Best book signing The Dust Covered Days of Dorie Archer. 10-11 a.m.

• A-Z Books (507 N. Jeffers) – I Am a Man: Chief Standing Bear’s Journey for Justice book signing and discussion with author Joe Starita. 10-11:30 a.m.

• North Platte High School performing arts center - Nebraska's outstanding teen pageant. 2 p.m.

• The Depot Restaurant - dine to live gypsy jazz music by Blue Swing. 6-8 p.m.

• Lincoln County Raceway (Fairgrounds, W. Rodeo Rd) - IMCA - Modified - Stock Car - Hobby Stock & Sport, Mod Sport Compact. (NAPA night.) Gates open 5 p.m. Races start at 7 p.m.

• North Platte High School performing arts center - Miss Nebraska scholarship pageant finals, 7 p.m.

• Wild West Arena - NBLand Days officially opens at 4:45 p.m. followed by Microfest brew festival at 5 p.m. and Mixed Martial Arts fights at 7 p.m. (See also separate NBLand Days schedule.)

Throughout the day, additional activities include Dick Turpin, Gary Phipps, Keller the magician and the Ash Hollow volunteers.

• Maranatha Bible Camp – Sports clays fun shoots. 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Tournament entry fee: $5 and other fees.


Tuesday, June 11

• Lincoln County Raceway (Fairgrounds, W. Rodeo Rd) - Buffalo Bill Wild West Challenge races, IMCA Modified - Stock Car - Hobby Stock & Sport, Mod Sport Compact. Adults $12. Gates open 5 p.m. Races start at 7 p.m.


Wednesday, June 12

• Pop Corner (1847 W. A) – Live piano and song by Shermie. 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

• VFW Post 1504 (2100 E. Fourth) – bingo, total of 24 games, starts at 6:45 p.m.

• Senior Center (901 East 10th) - Dance to Lou Krause Band. 7-9:30 p.m. $4. Please bring finger food.

• Lakehouse - (Lake Maloney inlet) Karaoke by Rascal DJ, 7-9 p.m.


Thursday, June 13

• Ft. Cody Trading Post (I-80 & US 83) - Live music by folksinger Paul Siebert and the band Latin Jam. 6-9 p.m. $5, kids under 12 free. (This Thursday music series continues throughout the summer. Season pass $20 at Kittle's Music.)

• North Platte High School – Feedin’ Sheep Ministries presents Mercy Me. 7 p.m. Tickets $40.

• Sculley’s Shooters (2221 E. Fourth) – adult dance lessons. 7-8 p.m. $5 per person.

• Lakehouse - (Lake Maloney inlet) Karaoke by Rascal DJ, 7-9 p.m.

• Sculley’s Shooters (2221 E. Fourth) – Live music by Cory Morrow. 9 p.m. Cover charge.

• H St. between Cottonwood and Walnut -- Block party 3-9 p.m. by the Chrome Divas. Fundraiser for Shannon Sprague Anderson. Bring covered dish/meat etc. for a raffle ticket. BYOB, bring lawn chairs. BBQ grills, silverware, coolers, etc. will be provided. Free will donation, raffle, 50/50.


Sunday, June 16

• Maranatha Camp – Waterfront Days from 2-5:30 p.m. BBQ at 5:30 p.m. $8 per person; $40 per family.

• Centennial Park - Municipal band in concert. 8 p.m. No charge.


Tuesday, June 18

• Children’s Museum (314 N. Jeffers) – Monthly program/craft workshop. 10:30 a.m. Members free, non-members $4.

• Lincoln County Raceway (Fairgrounds, W. Rodeo Rd) – Special Demolition Derby. Candy toss & bike giveaway. Gates open 5 p.m. Action starts at 7 p.m. Adults $10. Hosted by Kohler Trailer Sales.
