County court: Substance abuse, domestic violenceTell North Platte what you think

Tyler Bush, 27, of North Platte, was arraigned in Lincoln County Court Tuesday on charges of driving on a suspended license and driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol for the fourth time.

Bush was stopped by a Nebraska State Patrolman for a traffic offense. The officer said he saw signs of intoxication and administered field sobriety tests, which Bush failed, according to statements made in court.

Bush’s bond is high, at $100,000.

He was convicted in Lincoln County District Court in September 2010 for the third time for driving under the influence, for which he was sentenced to two years probation.

Bush also has prior convictions in 2005 and 2007 for DUI, and according to Lincoln County jail records, he has been arrested a total of six times for DUI.

Twenty-year-old arrested for drugs

Jason R. Dix, 20, faced arraignment in front of Lincoln County Judge Michael Piccolo Tuesday on charges of possession of more than a pound of marijuana with intent to deliver.

The Nebraska State Patrol stopped Dix on Interstate 80 at around 2:15 p.m. May 24 for a traffic violation. He gave the officer permission to search his vehicle, which turned up 1.7 pounds of marijuana and eight grams of THC-laced, edible foods.

No details were given as to what types of edibles were found.

Dix told Lincoln County Judge Michael Piccolo that he would hire his own attorney. His bond is set at $100,000.

Meagan Dancer, 21, of Sutherland was arrested by Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputies Tuesday morning for domestic violence.

According to a sheriff’s report, Dancer was arguing with her husband.

She had asked for help cooking breakfast and help with the kids. When her husband refused, she assaulted him. He complained and she was arrested.

Dancer will face arraignment in county court Wednesday.

Shawna M. Warner (also known as Shawna Klatt), 35, of Wyoming, was read her rights and informed that she is on an extradition hold for Wyoming.

Warner was stopped by a Nebraska State Patrolman on a routine traffic violation and a Wyoming warrant appeared when the officer ran a check. She is wanted for possession of a controlled substance, distribution of a controlled substance to a person under 18 years and child endangerment.

Lincoln County judge Michael Piccolo told Warner that Lincoln County will hold her for 10 days and if Wyoming officials don’t pick her up within that time, she will be released.
