Around 1:15 p.m. Wednesday, divers from the Sutherland team found the body of Sandra Comer of Elsie in the Sutherland Reservoir.
Comer was in 18-20 feet of water, about 175 feet from where she was thought to have gone into the water near the inlet, according to the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office.
Comer's death appears to be accidental in nature, the sheriff's statement said.
Comer, 75, was reported missing around 11 p.m. Tuesday night by her husband. Deputies found her vehicle on the south side of inlet of the Sutherland Reservoir and searched through the night, enduring frequent rain showers, without success.
A Nebraska State Patrol airplane joined the search Wednesday morning and the Sutherland Dive Team was called to help.
The sheriff said there is no evidence of criminal activity, and the investigation is continuing.
The sheriff's office saluted the volunteers of the Sutherland Dive Team for their thorough, professional work.
