A Colorado man is in the Lincoln County Jail, after he was charged with hitting a woman in the face Sunday. Police Information Officer Rodney Brown said Kennard Holley of Aurora, Colo. was arrested after he allegedly hit a woman and then hit a man who tried to intervene.
Officers responded to a call at 1:46 p.m. in the 800 block of W. Third. A 34-year-old woman said Holley punched her in the face after they'd had an argument, and Holley also assaulted a 39-year-old man was also assaulted when he attempted to intervene to stop Holley from hitting the woman.
Officers found probable cause to arrest Holley for felony domestic assault, a charge that was enhanced due to a prior Colorado conviction, as well as third degree simple assault.
Holley was jailed and held without bail over the weekend, according to sheriff's records.
