The Golden Games Committee presented Dallis Dye the Golden Senior Award May 7.

Dye has been active in many community organizations such as Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #2839, North Platte Area Retired and Senior Volunteer Program, Kiwanis, UPRR Link Up, North Platte Opportunity Center, the North Platte Community College Booster Club, the Nebraskaland Days Advisory Board and the North Platte Ambassadors, to name a few, organizers said.

The Golden Senior Award is given each year to a person age 55 and older who has performed outstanding community service.

This award is usually given at the Golden Games, (which will be held this year on Thursday, June 13), but a special early presentation was held this year.

The award was announced by Dana Songster, Director of the North Platte Area Retired and Senior Volunteer Program.
