Rotary sets golf scramble to fight polioTell North Platte what you think

The North Platte Noon Rotary Club is hosting a four-person golf scramble May 31 to raise money to fight polio.

"Polio Plus" is one of many projects that Rotary International Foundations supports around the world through members’ donations and additional fundraisers.

The golf scramble will be held at River’s Edge Golf Club on Friday, May 31 with a 12:30 p.m. shotgun start, with men, women and seniors invited to participate.

The goal is to raise $8,000 for the eradication of polio around the world, and participation will aid in that effort.

The entry fee is $1,000/team ($250 per individual), which includes green fees, cart and awards banquet, along with opportunity to win more than $,000 in cash and merchandise.

Interested parties should contact Jon’s Golf Shop at River’s Edge Golf Club (532-7550) or any member of the North Platte Noon Rotary Club.

Donations are also welcome, organizers said.
