Half inch of rain falls at airportTell North Platte what you think

A half inch of steady soaking rain fell overnight Tuesday at the North Platte Regional Airport/Lee Bird Field, bringing much needed moisture to the area.

The rain began around 1:30 a.m. and continued until about 4 a.m., the National Weather Service in North Platte said.

The forecast calls for good weather through the end of the week, with temperatures in the 70s and a slight chance of rain through Thursday.

The high temperature could reach the mid-80s early next week, the weather service said.
