Mid-Plains Community College students of nursing will be pinned at noon on Friday, May 10, at the McDonald-Belton Theater on the south campus of North Platte Community College.
The MPCC ADN program originated in 1990 and the first class graduated in 1992. There have been 21 classes since that time, according to Diane Hoffmann, Mid-Plains Community College Health Occupations Division Chair and Director of Nursing.
Students who graduate from the two-year program are eligible to take the NCLEX-RN licensing examination for registered nurses. Upon successful completion of the exam, they will be eligible to practice as a registered nurse.
