• Sculley’s Shooters (2221 E. Fourth) – adult dance lessons. 7-8 p.m. $5 per person.

• North Platte Community College (south campus) – Concert featuring the college choir, select choir and jazz band plus an art showing by students. 7:30 p.m. Free and open to public.

• North Platte High School – Drama Club production Soda Pop. 7:30 p.m. Adults $3; Students $2.

• Touchdown Club - live music/DJ by Rascal, 9 p.m.-midnight.


Friday, May 3

• Maranatha Camp – Family night. 7-10 p.m. $6 per person or $30 per five or more household.

• Platte River Mall – Honky Tonk BBQ festival, the only BBQ contest between Omaha and Denver. Live music by Blue Collar Band and Texas recording artist, Allen Glaser. 6 p.m.


Saturday, May 4

• Platte River Mall – Honky Tonk BBQ continues with contests and awards. Live music by Dirty Finger at 7 p.m. Begins at 10 a.m.

• Sunmart (at Westfield) – Woofstock pre-party with food and drink for $3. 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

• Cody Park – Autism Puzzle Walk 2-5 p.m. Adults $12, children $8.

• Children’s Museum (314 N. Jeffers) – Annual Hats Off to the Horses fundraiser including games, auction and food. 3-7 p.m. Tickets: $40 per person.

• Lincoln County Fairgrounds (W. Rodeo Rd.) – Bob Spady Night auto racing. 7 p.m. Adults $10, 5 and under free.

• Sculley’s Shooters (2221 E. Fourth) – Live music by Bases Loaded. 9 p.m. until closing. Cover charge.

• Cody Park – Arts in the Park

• Lakehouse (Lake Maloney NW end) – Cinco de Mayo celebration with Mexican food.

• D&N Center – Cinco de Mayo with Mexican food, live Mariachi and dance performances and children’s activities. Noon-6 p.m.

• Golden Spike (1249 N. Homestead Rd.) – Community day with free admission. Auction, games and refreshments. 1-7 p.m.

• Neville Center (Fifth and Baily) – Town Hall Lecture from Jerome Mayne, sharing lessons from his tangle in frauds and addictions. 10:30 a.m. Membership admission $60. Call Betty at 530-8448 to enroll in the lecture series.

• Pop Corner (1847 W. A) – Live piano and song by Shermie. 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

• VFW Post 1504 (2100 E. Fourth) – bingo, total of 24 games, starts at 6:45 p.m.

• Senior Center (901 East 10th) - Dance to Lou Kraus. 7-9:30 p.m.

• Public Library – Concert by classical guitarist Peter Fletcher. 7 p.m. No charge.
