Wava Best received an award of excellence for her stoneware/copper pottery “Erubecite Ribbons” and honorable mention for her porcelain piece, “Mystic.”

Sharon Skinner received honorable mention for “Quite a Pear.”

Judy Herbst Brown achieved an award of excellence for a water media “Dark of Night.”

These six pieces will also be displayed at the Association for Nebraska Art Clubs (ANAC) conference in Alliance in June.

The artworks have been on display through April, along with the spring show of the Art Guild, at the downtown gallery at 516 No. Dewey.

The gallery is open Tuesdays-Saturdays from 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

The annual spring photography contest and show will be held in May. The show will have five entry categories: Digital Effects, Landscape, Nature, People and Open.

Entries can be made from May 1-4 and May 7-8. The entry fee is just $3 per photo. Photos should be properly framed and ready to hang, using screw eyes and picture wire.
