Wendy K. Lyons
Wendy Lyons, 39, could face a maximum of five years in prison after she was charged Thursday with allegedly altering a prescription to get a more powerful dose of medication.
Police spokesman John Deal said the police were notified by the pharmacy and the doctor’s office that Lyons apparently altered the prescription, and investigator agreed that she did, after comparing copies of the prescription.
Lyons was arrested and charged with a felony – possessing or obtaining a legal drug without a prescription.
She tried to pass the prescription at Walgreen’s, Deal said.
If convicted, Lyons faces a maximum of five years imprisonment and a $10,000 fine.
