The North Platte High School boys' soccer team suffered another close loss on Tuesday, falling 2-1 in overtime to Norfolk at Madison Middle School.

After a scoreless first half, NPHS (1-11) scored the first goal three minutes after halftime when Brady Mason scored.

But the Bulldogs couldn't hold the lead. With 20 minutes left in the game, Norfolk's Michael Granados got loose on a breakaway and scored to tie the game for the Panthers.

Neither team scored again in regulation and the game went into overtime. Two minutes in the extra period, Norfolk (4-8) took the lead on a goal by Fernando Lopez.

The Panthers held on the rest of the way in overtime to pick up the win.

On April 26, North Platte travels to Scottsbluff to play the Bearcats, the only team its beaten so far, in the regular season finale.
