Teaching children to saveTell North Platte what you think

Pennies, nickels, dimes or dollars, students learn to save money during NebraskaLand National Bank’s Teach Children to Save event.

On April 30 at 1:45 p.m., fourth and fifth graders at Osgood Elementary will learn the importance of saving from NebraskaLand National Bank employees.

The basic principles of using money wisely highlight each lesson plan. Bankers volunteer their time to give students and teachers a break from the typical classroom learning. The bankers use saving, prioritizing and budgeting lessons with fun games and hands-on activities to teach students how to implement each principle into his or her daily life.

As part of a national campaign, Teach Children to Save focuses on lifelong saving habits for the next generation.
