Registration open for Ranch Practicum scholarships Tell North Platte what you think

Scholarships in the amount of $175 are available on a first-come, first-served basis for livestock producers from the Twin Platte Natural Resources District who apply by May 1 and participate in the 2013 Ranch Practicum conducted by University of Nebraska Extension.

Scholarships are paid after the successful completion of the Ranch Practicum.

The Practicum is a three-season, hands-on educational program designed to give participants additional skills and education for today’s complex ranching industry. Six of the eight sessions will be held at the Gudmundsen Sandhills Laboratory near Whitman, with two other sessions at North Platte.

Practicum registrations are due to the University of Nebraska at Lincoln Extension by May 3, but to save $50 off the registration costs, an April 19 deadline must be met.

Contact the Twin Platte Natural Resources District office or www.tpnrd.org for more information about Ranch Practicum scholarships.
