Van Velson performed on the baritone.

Top students in Concordia's music program are selected to perform based on auditions before a panel of full-time music faculty. The recital is intended to showcase exceptional student talent and effort in preparation and performance.

"I feel very excited and honored to be a part of the recital," said performer Elyssia Finch.

The musicians, including Finch, seek to master their performance repertoire through private vocal and instrumental lessons and hours of rehearsal each week.

Concordia University founded in 1894, is a coeducational university in Seward that currently serves more than 2,100 students. Concordia offers more than 50 professional and liberal arts programs.
