Three men are in custody Thursday after a shooting Wednesday night in North Platte.

Police the man was shot in the left leg.

A police investigator was called to the Great Plains Regional Medical Center around 1 a.m. Thursday morning on the report of a gunshot victim. The 30-year-old man said he was shot in the left leg by another man that he did not know.

The victim said he was shot while he was fleeing on foot from a parked car near the 1700 block of North Franklin, police said.

The wounds was not life threatening.

Meanwhile, other police officers became involved in a brief vehicle pursuit with suspects who were believed to be involved in the shooting.

Police spokesman Rodney Brown said police found the car the area of Oak and West Second and the chase went west on Third and ended near Third and Adams, where three occupants of the car ran on foot.

Brown said officers were able to apprehend all three men.

Britton Renfrow, 21, was arrested and jailed.

In court Thursday, Renfrow's bond was set at $500,000. He was arraigned on charges of attempted robbery, use of a weapon to commit a felony, possession of an altered/defaced weapon and illegal possession of oxycoton -- all felonies. An initial charge of attempted murder was reduced to second-degree assault, Brown said.

Another suspect, Matt Bobo, 28, was first cited for obstructing a police officer and released. But Bobo was later arrested on other serious charges, after police found him walking north across the Jeffers St. viaduct.

Brown said he had a handgun.

Bobo was initally charged with aiding and abetting attempted murder, but that charge was dropped. As of Thursday, he was charged with attempted robbery, possession of an altered/defaced weapon and possession of methamphetamine and marijuana, according to law enforcement and court records.

Bobo's bond was also set at $500,000.

Initially, the police said another man was charged and jailed for accessory to a felony. But the suspect told the Bulletin Thursday he was not involved and never cited.

"I don't know anything about it," he said. "I don't know those guys. I was home last night, drinking beer."
