• A to Z Books - 7-10:30 p.m. Open Mic Nite. Featuring the music and art of the 1960s, with emphasis on Elvis. Established performers and newcomers. Free-will donation. Refreshments provided or bring your own.

• Maranatha Camp – Family night. 7-10 p.m. $6 per person or $30 per five or more household.

• North Platte High School music contest at the high school. 4-9 p.m. No charge. Sloppy joe dinner from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Dinner ticket $5 from any music student.

• Sculley’s Shooters (2221 E. Fourth) – Live music by Judd Hoos. 9 p.m. Cover charge.


Saturday, Apr. 13

• Platte River Mall – Sports card show.

• Iron Horse Lake (next to Veteran’s Memorial south of I-80) – CASA Superhero Run with 5K and family mile. 8 a.m. registration. $20.

• D&N Event Center – 19th annual Train Show with model train layouts and railroad vendors. 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Admission: $3, children $1. Featuring O, S, HO and N scale models.

• Quality Inn & Suites – Silent auction of art to benefit the Girl Scouts, from scout, local and regional artists. Food and drinks served. 3-5 p.m. Tickets $12 per person; $20 for two people.

• Sculley’s Shooters (2221 E. Fourth) – Live music by Nashville Reject. 9 p.m. Cover charge.


Sunday, Apr. 14

• Platte River Mall – Sports card show.

• D&N Event Center – 19th Annual Train Show with model train layouts and railroad vendors. 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Admission: $3, children $1. Featuring O, S, HO and N scale models.

• Neville Center (Old Fox Theater downtown) - the Heartland Singers in concert. 3 p.m. Patriotic music and Disney classics - "America Loves Disney." No charge, freewill donations appreciated.

• North Platte High School – The renowned Tommy Dorsey Orchestra in concert. 6-7 p.m. Tickets: $15.


Tuesday, Apr. 16

• Children’s Museum (314 N. Jeffers) – Monthly program/craft workshop. 10:30 a.m. Members free, non-members $4.
