The North Platte Community College Student Senate will host the fourth annual soup cook-off and auction from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, April 12 at the Quality Inn and Suites in North Platte.
Soup made by area businesses and organizations will be served at the event, along with a variety of delicious desserts. Approximately 75 soup bowls, hand-crafted by students in NPCC Art Instructor Dik Haneline’s bowl making class, will be available to bid on in a silent auction.
The auction will run until 7:30 p.m.
Admission is $5. Homemade desserts will also be available for $1 a plate.
All proceeds will benefit the ‘Bridge of Hope’ Child Advocacy Center in North Platte. For more information or if your team would like to join the cook-off, contact Sky Seery at (308) 535-3727.
