Brock Adkins of Ogallala has been indicted with possession with intent to distribute heroin and meth, U.S. Attorney Deb Gilg announced Friday.The indictment alleges that less than 100 grams of a mixture or substance containing a detectable amount of heroin and 5 grams or more of actual methamphetamine were involved.
If convicted, Adkins faces a maximum of 40 years imprisonment, a $5 million fine, and at least 4 years of supervised release.
The indictment also charges Adkins with being a drug user in possession of a firearm. The maximum penalty of that charge is 10 years imprisonment, a $250,000 fine, and 3 years of supervised release.
The indictment also contains a forfeiture allegation for $6,485 in United States currency, Gilg said.
These charges are a result of a search warrant executed on Oct. 11 in Ogallala.
Adkins was scheduled to make his first appearance in federal court on Friday, Gilg said.
