Top school salaries: Too high or low? Tell North Platte what you think

Tell us what you think of salary hikes for the top school administrators. Vote in our new readers' poll.

Superintendent Marty Bassett will make $187,200 next year, which equals $717 a day for his 261 days-per-year job.

Bassett's raise leads a parade of raises for the top 20 or so administrators - the school principals, assistants and directors.

What do you think? Are the raises too high, too low or about right? Cast your vote in our readers' poll at the lower right side of the front page.

Bassett, who is finishing his first year on the job, is making $180,000 a year.

Tami Eshleman will get a promotion and an 8% raise. She is receiving $121,200 as the director of human resources. She will make $130,896 next year as she officially becomes the associate superintendent.
