Police Chief Mike Swain made the announcements Monday.

Each year the North Platte Police Department holds regular inspections of uniformed officers to ensure they maintain a high standard of uniform dress and overall appearance.

Officer Erickson has served with the North Platte Police Department for 13 years; he is a former public information officer and currently assigned to patrol.

Kramer began working with the department nearly 23 years ago, on May 4, 1990 and was promoted to Telecommunicator II Feb. 7, 2002.

Kramer is a communications training officer for department.

She is the president of the Nebraska Emergency Services Communications Association (NESCA.) She has been on the NESCA Training Committee for several years, developing training curriculum for public safety communicators, and she serves as a guest instructor at the Nebraska Law Enforcement Training Center twice a year for basic dispatcher and emergency medical dispatcher training courses.

In 2011, Kramer received the NESCA Jud Reed Lifetime Achievement Memorial Award recognizing outstanding service through training, good judgment and devotion to the communications field.

Swain said that Kramer helps foster a good working environment, has a positive attitude and is supportive of her employees and coworkers.

"Connie leads by example and is insistent that she gets involved in the day-to-day activities of a dispatcher while fulfilling her supervisory responsibilities," the announcement said. "She takes pride in her work and the operation of the 911 center."
