Christopher Russell, 19, of North Platte was arraigned Thursday on a second charge of first-degree sexual assault of a child.

Russell was previously charged March 1 with one count of statutory rape. Police said he had consensual sex with a 14-year-old girl.

Russell was temporarily released from jail after he paid 10 percent of a $150,000 bond.

Police began investigating another charge on March 6 -- that Russell also had sexual intercourse with a 15-year-old girl, police spokesman Rodney Brown said.

Russell was arrested again Wednesday and jailed. This time his bond is set at $250,000.
