Optimist speech contest setTell North Platte what you think
 

The North Platte Optimist club will hold a speech and oratorical contest at 1 p.m. March 23 at Adams Middle School.

Students will compete for a chance to go on to a state contest and vie for a $1,500 scholarship.

The contest is open to anyone 17 years old or younger.

The topic is "Why My Voice is Important." A speech must last 4-5 minutes.
