Three safejackers were charged this week with stealing another safe and its contents from a rural home south of Brady, as well as a safe from Ideal Linen on Jan. 9. It was apparently a busy Christmas season for the trio. Cody Jolliffe, Terry Houchin and Jacob Moser were charged Tuesday and Wednesday in the Dec. 26 burglary to a home on on East Kaneb Road south of Brady. There, a grey safe was taken that contained $23,000 and credit cards, plus vehicle and equipment titles. The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, North Platte Police and the regional cooperative drug enforcement task force developed suspects in that burglary as well as others burglaries in western Nebraska, a Lincoln County Sheriff's spokesman said Thursday. Jolliffe, 29, was already in jail. He was arrested Friday for allegedly stealing about $200 in coins from the Westfield plaza car wash. On Tuesday, he was also charged with the break-in and theft of the safe south of Brady as well as the safe from the Ideal Linen company two weeks later. Two alleged accomplices -- Terry Houchin, 29, and Jacob Moser, 24 were picked up the next day and face the same charges. Police said the safe from Ideal Linen was ruined, but recovered. The sheriff's spokesman said most of the rural Brady property was spent or destroyed. The investigation continues, the spokesman said. In court Thursday, prosecutors said another warrant has been issued for Jolliffe in connection to another theft in February and more charges are likely.
