Police went to North Platte’s Wal-Mart around 10:45 a.m. to check out a reported shoplifting. They were told that a man left the store with less than $100 of merchandise.

The man was later identified as Ryan Watson. Police found him and charged him, and also found that Watson was wanted in Keith County for possession of a controlled substance.

Two women, Hanna Nunnally and Halie Robb, were seen with Watson. They did not participate in the theft but police found they were also wanted. They found both woman near Rodeo Road and Madison.

Nunnally was wanted in Keith County for a probation violation and failure to appear —criminal mischief, and she was also wanted in Lincoln County for failure to appear on a citation.

Robb was wanted for theft in Keith County and for failure to appear on a citation in Lincoln County. She is also charged with possession, according to jail records.

Drugs, weapons

In county count Thursday, Aaron Clark, 25, of North Platte was arraigned on charges of a felon in possession of a firearm, possessing a firearm during a drug crime and possession of a controlled substance.

Clark was one of three men arrested Sunday in an out-of-state Buick near 11th and Cottonwood in possession of illegal drugs and weapons.

Clark waived his preliminary hearing and his case was bound over to district court.

Defense attorney Kent Florom asked for a bond reduction and Deputy County Attorney Jennifer Wellan had no objection. Bond was reduced by half to $75,000.

Also, Keith Phelps, 45, a co-defendant with Clark, also appeared on the same set of charges. Defense attorney Michael Nozicka asked for a continuance because he was appointed earlier Thursday and needed time to study the records and talk with Phelps.

Visitng Judge Edward Steenburg continued the case to March 21.

A third co-defendant in the case, Robin Dennis, 29, of North Platte, did not appear.
