The girl’s mother reported to police that Russell was involved in a sexual relationship with her underage daughter, age 14. Russell was in jail on charges related to shoplifting when investigators looked into the allegation.

When the investigation was finished, Russell was charged with first-degree sexual assault. He was released on bond before then, and was picked up again and put in jail.

His bond on the sex assault charge is set at $250,000.

The young girl said the relationship was consensual, but regardless, Nebraska law makes it illegal for anyone over age 19 to have sex with anyone under 16.

I've known this guy since highschool. He is a good guy, but he is a little too full of himself, he thought he was 10 feet tall and bulletproof. Goes to show anyone can get in trouble. Personally a 19 year old having sex with a 14 year old is disgusting and he should be punished. If I caught anyone sleeping with my young cousin, that would be the end of them (so to say). Also, I like how he is 19 years old and the bulletin says "Anyone OVER THE AGE OF 19, AND PEOPLE UNDER THE AGE OF 16." I didn't know being 19 was over the age of 19?

props to this girls parents for raising her to tell the truth! This girl could have easily yelled rape but chose to admit that she was a willing person, but she is also a victim. He should go to jail for awhile.
