The Nebraska Wheat Board will hold its next meeting on March 6 at the Double Tree by Hilton Hotel Downtown, 1616 Dodge St., Omaha. The meeting will begin at 5 p.m. and adjourn at 7 p.m. This meeting will include contractor reports, a first reading of contract proposals for fiscal year 2013-2014 and upcoming travel and calendar events. The public is welcome to attend any open portion of the meeting. Interested individuals may contact the NWB office at wheat.board@nebraska.gov for a copy of the agenda or more information. The Nebraska Wheat Board administers the check-off of 0.4% of net value of wheat marketed in Nebraska at the point of first sale. The board invests the funds in programs of international and domestic market development and improvement, policy development, research, promotion, and education.
