Andrew and Charles Morris, brothers, are now in the Lincoln County Jail, charged with possession and possession with intent to deliver.

The Chevy Tahoe spun 360 degrees on the slick road and went into the ditch around 9 a.m., according to Nebraska State Trooper Jeremiah Johnson. They continued to drive east in the ditch for five miles before they had to call for help.

When Johnson arrived, he said he smelled a strong odor of marijuana. After a tow truck pulled the SUV out, Johnson searched and found 10.6 pounds of pot in boxes in the cargo area.

Andrew and Charles were taken to the Lincoln County Jail, charged with possession and possession with intent to deliver.

Andrew Morris, 27, is from Denver, and Charles, 29, is from Chicago, Johnson said.

This probably isn't the normal sentiment but.... here it goes. OK, we "caught" these desperate criminals stuck in a snow drift. They were unlucky enough to meet McGruff the pot sniffing NSP "dog" and now what?? This made a good headline and now the rest of us move on with our lives? YES we do all of us except these two, they were just visitors but now they are citizens of our great state! They will get free dental, food lodging for the next how many years, 3-5 would be my guess? How can we afford to do this when the young kids of our state can't afford drug and alcohol treatment? Do we care so much about these two that we are willing to support them the next few years? I DON'T, I'm sorry if that offends but I just don't really care! I do care about what our governor has done to the child services in this state, when he couldn't farm it out he just simply gutted it out, it has no money to help children in crisis and that my Friend's is a shame and someone should be locked up over that.
