The Hershey High School Dance Team competed at the State Cheer and Dance Championships Feb. 16 in Grand Island, hosted by the Nebraska Coaches Association in cooperation with Nebraska State Athletic Administrators Association. The Dazzlers received second in Class C2 Pom Routines in the competition, which was held at the Heartland Event Center. The 13-member Hershey dance team has freshman through senior members. Kathy DaMoude and Megan White are the coaches. The young ladies perform during Panther varsity boys basketball games, at the homecoming football game, at pep rallies as well as area parades and competitions. The girls performed a pom routine to the music – Wild Ones, Yeah 3x, and Don‘t Stop the Music. The routine was choreographed by Tessa Reece, Kelsey Lafferty, and Ariel Clements. The team had two minutes to demonstrate synchronization and visual effects, along with proper pom placement and dance technique. The routine had to include formation changes, group work, and level changes.
