Patriot Packages meets TuesdayTell North Platte what you think

Patriot Packages meets at 5 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month at the Paul R. Martin Post 279 American Legion in Hershey to assemble care packages for local deployed troops and Soldier's Angels.

"We are blessed and supported by our community with generous donations of cash for postage and to purchase certain supplies," organizer Barb Baldridge said.

The most requested items are jerky, homemade cookies, and personal hygiene products.

Baldridge extends special thanks to Western Convenience Truck Stop for supplying fresh baked cookies and to the veterans at the Hershey post for providing the space to continue this service for young men and women who serve our country and are grateful for care packages and heartfelt words of encouragement from home.

To participate, attend the package assembly or call Baldridge at 308-520-1613 for more information.
