At 1 a.m. Sunday, Benjamin Fritz, 21, somehow managed to drive his 2010 Nissan Titan across three sets of railroad tracks along Front Street.

Police said Fritz drove north off Oak (five blocks west of Willow) through the chain link fence at the edge of the tracks and directly across three sets of tracks.

The truck somehow crossed the tracks until it reached the fourth set. The front end came apart and when the front hit the track, the truck flipped into the air and landed on its top between the tracks, according to the police report.

The front and side air bags deployed but Fritz was injured and taken to the hospital. The $18,000 truck was totaled. Alcohol is suspected to be a factor, police said.

Isn't Ben still on parole from breaking into that house on Anna and catching it on fire?

Yes George, I am aware of the owners of the vehicle. Same last name does not justify taking a vehicle without permission or knowledge of the owner. Just sayin...

George do you have bigger pictures for those of us who live out of town and don't have the luxury of being able to drive by and laugh at the damage? I can't help but envision a pickup flying through the air like the General Lee.

T_E_D_R, the truck is owned by Todd and Donna Fritz, according to police.

I drove past this last night, had to pull over for the ambulance. I was wondering if it was a drunk driver. The vehicle was pretty messed up.

The RR should put up a better type of fence? Are you kidding me? Perhaps drunk drivers shouldn't get behind the wheel! Take a look at the scene of the accident, no skid marks or sign that he even tried to stop. This kid was on a mission with a horrible ending! Once more of the facts of the prior events come to light you will understand. And as info, it say "his" truck... The truck was stolen!

Another person drives threw fence and into the tracks. I think the RR needs to put some other type of fence up.
