Ethan Montalvo and Jake Maslo led the Knights' charge with 15 points apiece followed by 14 from Damon Brown and Reath Jiech.

Jarrod Gamble led the Storm with 9 points.

The game was called with 1:55 remaining on the clock after a scary moment in which Trey Porter of the Storm went into a seizure on the bench. Porter was taken to the hospital for further treatment.

The Knights jumped out to an early lead and took a commanding 26-point lead into the locker room. On the evening, the Knights shot 45 percent from the field and 35 percent from the three-point line.

The Knights were also unselfish, handing out 20 assists, led by five from Damon Brown.

“I thought overall in the first half we did a good job coming out and playing on both ends of the floor," Head Coach Kevin O’Connor said, "and, we shot well from the floor (59 percent) and showed some good teamwork to put us in a position to play for a conference title tomorrow.”

The win improves the Knights to 5-0 in the Nebraska Community College Athletic Conference and dropped the Storm to 1-3 in the conference.

The Knights face the Central Community College Raiders (14-11) at 3 p.m. Saturday in North Platte for the NCCAC championship.

The two did battle in December, when the Knights nipped the Raiders 75-74 in Columbus.

The Knights close out the regular season next week with road games at south subregion foes Western Nebraska Community College and Eastern Wyoming College.
