The Lincoln County Historical Museum is announcing a competition to design one of the next museum t-shirts.

The competition is open to anyone 18 years old and older. The deadline in March 28. There is also a separate contest being conducted for youth in Lincoln County schools, but this competition is open to any adult, anywhere.

The winner will receive a family membership to the museum and a free tee-shirt.

Anyone wanting to enter can find the rules to the competition on the museum’s website, www.lincolncountymuseum.org.

The rules

2- The design must not exceed 8 ½” x 11”.

3- The design can be black & white or up to 3 colors. The museum does not guarantee color printing on the t-shirts.

4- The theme of the t-shirt should be representative of the museum.

5- All artwork must be original to the contestant.

6- Designs will be judged by a panel made up of the following organizations: Lincoln County Historical Society, North Platte Area Chamber Of Commerce/Tourism Advisory Committee, Railfest Committee, Prairie Arts Center, and the North Platte Art CO-OP.

7- One winner will be selected. All decisions of the judges are final.

8- Artwork must be submitted digitally or on good quality sketching paper.

9- Winner will be contacted by phone and/or by mail. Winner will receive credit in media coverage.

10- First place will receive a free t-shirt with their winning design on it & a family membership to the museum. 2nd place will win a family membership to the museum.

11- All entries will receive a $1 off admission coupon to the museum.

12- Entry is free for your first design. If you wish to enter more than one design an entry fee of $5 per design after the first one is required.

13- Artwork submitted to the contest will be placed on exhibit at the museum for the month of May 2013.

14- Original artwork will not be returned and becomes the museum’s property.

15- Members of the judging panel and their families are ineligible for the contest.

16- All entries must include on a separate sheet of paper or with the digital file: Contestant’s name, address and telephone number.

17- All entries must be submitted by March 28, 2013, 5 p.m., Central Time.

18- Failure to comply with any of the aforementioned rules renders the entry void.
