Police picked up Joshua Foust of North Platte Sunday afternoon, partly for his own good. Around 2:20 p.m., police went to a home in the 2300 block of W. Fourth on a report that a man had left the house upset, carrying a firearm, Police Information Officer Rodney Brown said. The responding officer was told that Foust, 23, made statements that jeapordized his own safety before he left the house on foot, carrying a 12-gauge shotgun. Brown said the firearm was later found in a vehicle parked at the house. Police found Foust in the 300 block of N. Emory, and charged him with possession of a firearm by a felon, a class 1 felony. He was arrested and his bond was set at $100,000. Foust was convicted of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl in August 2006, when Foust was 16, according to county records.
