The Wallace boys basketball team defeated Hayes Center Friday, 55-51, coming from behind at the end of the game. Wallace (10-8) trailed 41-37 after three quarters but scored 18 points in the fourth while holding Hayes Center (8-10) to 10 points. Hayes Center Head Boys Coach Louis Cuellar said Wallace made key plays down the stretch, but Cuellar credited his young team with one of their best efforts of the year. The game was dramatically different than two weeks earlier, when Wallace drilled Hayes Center, 72-47. "I am extremely pround of my boys," Cuellar said. "We are improving with every game and starting to play good basketball more consistently."
