The American Red Cross Mid-Plains Area is looking for chocolatiers for the third annual Chocolate Rendezvous from 5-7 p.m. March 22 at the Quality Inn and Suites in North Platte.
The Chocolate Rendezvous provides an evening of chocolate decadence from sweet to savory, with live entertainment by The Hatchbacks and a chance to shop unique items donated by area businesses at the silent auction.
Chocolatiers let their imaginations and creativity run wild as they provide an array of chocolate delights for guests to sample and judge.
Categories include the Most Creative use of Chocolate, Best Presentation and People’s Choice Award.
The Chocolate Rendezvous helps to raise the much needed funds that allow the local Red Cross to continue to provide disaster service delivery to the community.
The American Red Cross shelters, feeds and provides emotional support to victims of disasters; supplies nearly half of the nation’s blood; teaches lifesaving skills; provides international humanitarian aid; and supports military members and their families. The Red Cross is a charitable organization – not a government agency – and depends on volunteers and the generosity of the American public to perform its mission.
Chocolatiers can pick up applications at Mid-Plains Red Cross, or call (308) 532-8888.
