Larry L. Miller of Alliance and Paul G. Wess of Chadron have been nominated to a county judgeship in western Nebraska. The Judicial Nominating Commission for the County Court in the 12th Judicial District in western Nebraska forwarded the names of the two nominees to Gov. Dave Heineman for consideration. The 12th Judicial District consists of Banner, Box Butte, Cheyenne, Dawes, Deuel, Garden, Grant, Kimball, Morrill, Scotts Bluff, Sheridan and Sioux counties. One of the nominees will fill a vacancy left by the retirement of Judge Charles Plantz. Heineman will schedule interviews with both nominees in the coming weeks, said Sue M. Roush of the governor's office.
