Grammy nominee Halestorm will play June 22, with the Sick Puppies opening the show.

After scoring two top 10 singles (“I Get Off” and “It’s Not You”) from the self-titled debut, the Pennsylvania quartet Halestorm are back with their second full-length, The Strange Case of….

The album has produced top 10 hits, including the track Love Bites, which earned the band a 2013 Grammy nomination for “Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance.”

Halestorm has toured steadily for two years with such diverse acts as Shinedown, Stone Sour, Disturbed, Megadeth, Papa Roach, Godsmack and others.

The Australian trio Sick Puppies are now recording their fourth studio album, due out later this year. Their 2009 release Tri-Polar produced four top 15 singles. While they finish up their record, the band is lining up a full summer of touring, including their stop in North Platte.

Tickets for the show will go on sale at 9 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 4.

The Early Bird General Admission price is just $19, with Grandstand seating at $29. Golden Circle tickets right in front of the stage will be $49. Tickets are available at www.nebraskalanddays.com.

"We’re thrilled to get a couple of bands of this quality lined up,” concert chairman Hans Julius said. “To be able to get a band up for a Grammy this week along with a veteran act like the Puppies, this is going to be a great way to close the celebration out.

I am not interested in seeing any of the concerts this year. It makes me a little sad, because in previous years, the bookings have reflected more diversity that appealed to a wider audience. Although many the 18-35 set must be thrilled with the line-up, the acts really are not geared toward true country fans. I see a healthy shot in the arm for Cheyenne Frontier Days....I know that is where my ticket purchase would be.

If you listen to any sort of an active rock station, Rock100, Pandora, or Octane on Sirius XM you would know these bands. Halestorm is top notch. The NLD Board has done a great job this year.

I have never heard of these bands. I wish they would have bands that people have heard of since it cost so much to go. I would say though that I would rather go see a band that I have never heard of before I would go see Kid Rock. Let down.

Dad...I listen to everything. I prefer rock over country. That's Prolly why I was making fun of it. Ur not very bright are u? Last good rock concert here was the monkeys. Good one before that was tiny Tim. Theory of a deadman was decent. All hee-haw days concert are over priced. This rock concert just may be worth 19 bucks tho.

Pretty funny that the country headliner is more rock than the rock acts yeah right. I guess that you have never listened to songs by either band
