Pederson has served as board chair of Great Plains Regional Medical Center for seven years and was a founding member of the Great Plains Health Care Foundation Board of Trustees.

In the past five years, Great Plains Regional Medical Center has grown its medical staff to more than 80 members and developed new areas of service.

“(Pederson) will be a wonderful addition to our board leadership,” said Mike Williams, CHC president and CEO, “especially in this new year, as community hospitals begin to face the challenges posed by healthcare reform and changes inherent in the regulatory environment.”

Since its inception in 1996, CHC has helped to protect and preserve community hospitals with practical solutions that foster independence and support financial stability.

Recently, Great Plains Regional Medical Center “launched a major campus improvement project that will transform the landscape of our local medical community and improve the way we deliver healthcare,” said Greg Nielsen, CEO of GPRMC.

Pederson has chaired boards for Mid-Plains Community College, the North Platte Public Schools, Church Council and the North Platte Chamber.

He is a 1980 graduate of the University of Nebraska School of Law. After school, he joined his father in practice and later opened his own firm, The Pederson Law Office.

In 2010, he welcomed his daughter, Laura Troshynski, into the practice. With expertise in the areas of business transactions, estate planning, and probate, the practice serves clients across the state.

Community Hospital Corporation owns, manages and consults with hospitals through three distinct organizations – CHC Hospitals, CHC Consulting and CHC ContinueCare, which share a common purpose of preserving and protecting community hospitals.
