The North Platte Community College Lady Knights (12-7) got a road win Friday night as they defeated the Midland Lady Warriors JV 54-47 behind double-doubles from two players.

Da'Vontaye Merritt led the way in scoring with 14 points and and 11 rebounds while Paige Hasty snagged 13 rebounds and scored 13 points.

The Lady Knights struggled shooting the ball, hitting just 33 percent from the free throw line (8-24).

Halle Dittrich had 11 points for the Lady Warriors.

The Lady Knights stay on the road Saturday as they face the Doane Lady Tiger JV at noon. This is the second meeting of the year as North Platte took the first 68-48.

North Platte has one more game on the road next week before returning home on Jan. 31 to face Eastern Wyoming at 5:30 p.m.
