The North Platte St. Pat's girls' basketball team scored 25 unanswered points on Thursday to blow Maxwell off the floor in a 74-28 win at the McGahan Activities Center. The Lady Irish (16-2) outscored Maxwell 26-2 in the first quarter and never looked back. "We had a nice quick start again tonight," said St. Pat's coach Nathan Stienike. "Once we did get the lead, we still executed our offense. We didn't get sloppy with the ball and we rebounded well." Maxwell coach Mitch Armour said that his team (3-12) did as much as he could hope for against St. Pat's. "The girls played extremely hard," said Armour. "St. Pat's is a heck of a team and it was a very classy win by their coach. I like how we regained our focus after the SPVA tournament last week. Tonight was tough but we're back at it again tomorrow night (against Perkins County)."
