College blood drive yields 29 unitsTell North Platte what you think

Students, faculty and staff at North Platte Community College exceeded their goal during the American Red Cross We Challenge U blood drive Monday.

“The College Family stepped up its efforts against all the odds to maintain a streak of exceeding blood expectations six times in a roll since November 2011," said Stanley Mugeki, NPCC Director of Housing and Student Activities. "Neither the winter illnesses nor the cold weather dampened the resolve of enthusiastic students, staff and faculty to donate 29 good units of blood, which exceeded our goal of 25 units."

"This unwavering great support ensures an adequate supply of blood to continue the mission of saving lives,” Mugeki said.

The next blood drive is scheduled 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 21, at the NPCC North Campus Student Lounge.

To schedule an appointment, contact Mugeki at (308) 535-3795 or by email at mugekis@mpcc.edu.
