International star Kid Rock will perform in North Platte June 21 during Nebraskaland Days in the US Cellular Summer Jam Concert Series.

Special guests Lee Brice and Thomas Rhett will open the show for him.

Kid Rock is musician, rapper, singer-songwriter and a five-time Grammy award nominee. His first commercial album in 1998, "Devil Without a Cause," sold 13 million copies worldwide.

Kid Rock will fill the vacancy left in North Platte when Lady Antebellum cancelled their summer tour due to the pregnancy of singer Hillary Scott.

He has always been near the top of the wish list of concert organizers, Nebraskaland Days Concert Chairman Hans Julius said.

“When we had to restart this process, the timing was perfect to secure Kid Rock’s 2013 tour,” Julius said.

Kid Rock’s 2012 album “Rebel Soul” came out to rave reviews. “Good Morning America” helped celebrate on release day, while Kid Rock also performed at NASCAR and NFL events. He spent a morning with Howard Stern and graced the cover of Billboard Magazine while Rolling Stone, The New Yorker, The New York Times, Maxim and the LA Times all ran stunning features and reviews. The week concluded with a special piece on CBS Sunday Morning.

His current single “Let’s Ride” is staill climbing up the radio chart while the video for that single and “Cucci Galore” debuted on KidRock.com. The album is available physically and digitally.

Lady Antebellum ticket holders who want to see the Kid Rock show don’t need to do anything, as their tickets will be honored. Refunds will be issued to tickets holders who want a refund, organizers said.

“We’re going to take a couple of days here to reach out to our sustaining members and ticket holders to make sure they know their options,” Nebraskaland Days Executive Director David Fudge said. “Once that’s done, we’ll go on sale to the public on Monday.”

Tickets are $59 for general admission and reserved seating. A very limited quantity of Golden Circle tickets right in front of the stage are available for $99.

Tickets will be available Monday online HERE.

By riot squad you must mean all the minimum wage "rent-a-cops" NLD hires to push their usual excessive weight around and feed their new found egos.

Should be a great night for beer sales...and plenty more. Lock up the women and children and ready the riot squad!

I went to a Lady A concert and was very disappointed. I love their songs and albums but in all honesty they are studio musicians. Then don't sound all that way live and really aren't that great of entertainers. I think Kid Rock will put on a very good show for the NLD crowd

I agree with TTA, I hope the hardcore country people give him a chance. It's going to be an amazing show. Thanks, NLD.

Awesome! He's a great performer. He knows people & all kinds of music, and knows how to show good things that too often are not.

I read somewhere once that Beiber got one of Kid Rock's old tour buses and when Kid Rock found out he recommended that Beiber have it sterilized really well.

Isn't he more rockabilly than full out country or full out rock and roll?? Let's give NLD a chance after all they had the scheduled locked in and couldn't help that Lady A cancelled on them..

I love it! This guy has been releasing albums since 1990, and evolving the whole time. Amazing performer, he puts it all out there on the stage. I can't wait. NLD outdid themselves for sure! I know a lot of people will be saying "he ain't country." Go listen to his last three albums. He is more country than you think.

FYI he is very Country/Blues now and puts on a good American Pride show! He is more down home country then some "country singers" that are turning POP! Id rather hear him then them!

This is really GREAT! So proud of Nebraskaland days for this pick! I went and seen him last year and he was really good! I hope the hard core country folk give him a chance and go! They will miss out if they dont! LOVE HIM!

Kid Rock is awesome....for a ROCK concert. I don't think that the country fans are going to be as excited as they were with Lady Antebellum. I know the board likely had to scramble to find a top-name act, though.
